Is there a recommended UK supplier of the uncased type eBike battery, i.e just covered in heat shrink, 36V 5Ahr to 10Ahr ?

Plenty of suppliers out in the far East but the capacities quoted are just plain silly, you can apparently get a 36V 20Ahr for £40 !

So a supplier that can be trusted is needed.

I sell 36V 10AH bag batteries. They are made with 10x Panasonic 21700 5000mAH cells.

They come in a bag and with SANS 3A charger.

edit: 20 cells not 10. Thank you Bikes4two!

Apologies if I missed it @Woosh, but I couldn't see prices on your website (that's probably me - sorry!). Anyway, they look neat in the Rock Bros clip to-the-seat-rails bags.

And of course I spotted the typo in that there must be 20 Panasonic cells in the 10s 2p battery

Thanks will do, I will report back when I have a reply.
eBike batteries sugegsted a 10S2P pack of Sony VTC6 for 6Ahr at about £300.

or Panasonic BL3350 for 6.7Ahr.

Thats enough capacity and with 20 cells at around 50g each, its quite a light pack too.

I sell 20-cell 36V 10AH of Panasonic 21700-5000 for £179 including bag and extension lead + £29 for the 3A charger.
The pack weighs 1.3kgs on its own.

I constructed my own 10s 2p 36v nominal 10Ah pack using LG M50LT (21700) for around £100 plus the cost of a spot welder from China and then a bike bag on top, so the offering from Woosh bikes is I'd say, very good value.

Yes the batteries from Whoosh are very good value ++++.

Whilst my electronics experience is long, around 50 years, initially as a as an professional electronic designer and then looking after the electronics side of manufacturing the BBC micro, DIY battery builds are not on my horizon. And yes, I know it sounds easy.
