Hello, I've been quoted £290 for a replacement battery for my bike, the battery it came with was a 36v 10ah phylion lion battery. Am I going to find anything a lot better for the price (or less) from another uk seller? I'm not so fussy about the shape (the one I have is a silverfish shape box), I'll get it strapped on the bike somehow for an upgrade/discount. The dirtiest of dirty cheap coupled with a low probability of the thing becoming a smoking toxic ruin, please.

If it has to be a UK seller, the Eclipse one is pretty good. It's a lot better than your Phylion. What bike is it for?

Eclipse will have an unopened return available in the next day or so in 13ah so if you drop them an email I don't see why they couldn't reserve it for you.

I will soon have 24, 36, 48V 10Ah Li-NMC batteries and believe the 36V will be around £250 with 2 year warranty. OptimumNano 36V 10Ah LiFePO4 will be less than £290 with 2 year warranty and a top quality 5A charger too. Or 18650 29E Samsung cells to replace your existing battery pack.

My bike is complete garbage: it's a prorider, I could probably have built something better for far less. I'm hoping the cheap Chinese vanilla controller will be amenable to various battery types.

no, I went for the folder http://www.proriderleisure.com/leisure/electric-bikes/e-wayfarer-electric-folding-bike-silver.html as it was lighter and I thought the smaller wheels would be better for hill climbing. The rack on the back should take just about any battery. The motor seems pretty rugged, the rest of the bike is pretty rubbish, the brakes were particularly bad, I replaced a lot of stuff with spares I had lying around, better seat post and seat etc.

I always chuckle when a retailer crosses out some totally outrageous RRP figure, to replace it with a wallet friendly price.

Like we're all stupid enough to fall for that one lol
