UCL:10 TranzX Battery

Can any steer me towards the pinouts / in on this bike. I've been handed a project and clearly someone has been fiddling where they shouldn't. It would be a shame to bin the bike for what seems like a bit of wiring repair.... Basically the issue is between the bike wiring and the battery itself. Besides the +ve and -ve wires there would appear to be probably 4 more wires "missing". Anyone familiar with this setup than can point me in the right direction please?

It shouldn't be that difficult. On the other side of the pin is a wire. Follow the wire to see where it goes.

I have to assume you're used to dealing with thick people?

If there was a wire on the other side I'd follow it..........perhaps if you re read my question above, specifically the bit where I say there would appear to be four more wires "missing". That's the point where those with intelligence superior to that of an amoeba figure there are wires missing that, therefore, can't be followed.

A couple of things I would look at :

Is there evidence the four pins have had wires connected to them in the past?I'm guessing yes, but if not then perhaps no wires needed.

Is the battery available? If so I would be tempted to open it up and see what happens to those pins inside.

Guesswork:

Today's TranzX website talks about CANBus communications, so it is possible that two small pins are the CAN bus wires, and perhaps the other two are + and - supply for low voltage parts of the system.

If the pins are functional, they have a wire attached. If there's no wire attached, they don't perform any electrical function, so you don't need to worry about the pin-outs. The attached wires always have another end that's attached to something at that end. I've never found it to be difficult. That's how I learnt about electric bikes.
