Tyres which ones?

I have a MTB ebike.
I'm running 26- 1.35 road tyres at 80psi with no suspension and its a hard ride!
Road and cycle path mostly which in places is rough.
I need a softer tide and will probably go for thicker Schwalbe tyres to cushion ride a bit.
26-2.0 tyre ok?
What would be a good option? Not what I'm looking for.

Im using Schwalbe marathon plus MTB 29x2.25" Best of both worlds. Continual center for road, better spaced knobbles for softer surfaces. About £35 an end, though with tyres you can always find them cheaper with a bit of digging.
Available in 26",27'5" and 29er, with 2.0",2.10",2,25" and 2.35" widths.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tour 26 x 1.75 on my eMountain bike.

Smooth enough on the road and fine on off road cycle and woodland paths. Excellent pothole resistance.

I tried the narrow ones, but they were a bit twitchy.

Schwalbe Big Apple 26 x 2 or 26 x 2.15 . Comfortable balloon-style tyre that can be run at low pressures. Lighter (and cheaper) than Marathons but still have good puncture protection. Very low rolling resistance and good for road, gravel and towpaths. Not for muddy off-roading though.

I'm not suprised you're getting a hard ride at that tyre pressure - if the tyre rating allows it, drop it first by 10psi and feel the difference and then another 10psi to really appreciate that 80psi is toooo much.

Marathon Plus - love them or hate them - I fall into the latter camp as they give a horrid ride IMHO - to be sure thay do give far less punctures that most tyres but when you do get one, be prepared for a tough time getting them off and back on again (they have a reputaton to being difficult in this respect).

I got so fed up struggling with my M+ that I gave them all away as I was happy to get a few more punctures if necessary (generally that hasn't been the case though) but be able to do a roadside repair in resonable time.

I run my tyres at 55psi, 10 psi below max
You could try Schwalbe Marathon tyres or Continental Contact tyres if you want less weight but not as puncture resistance.
