I am a big fan of Schwalbe tyre equipment; in particular for lack of punctures.
You can download their complete 2012 catalogue
here, but it is a big file.
As above, you will always be looking for 700C diameter, but chosing how fat the tyre needs to be for your roads/tracks etc and for your comfort. Fatter tyres soften the ride; very fat tyres can take the place of suspension.
(Does your ProConnect have a rigid front fork or a suspension fork ?)
Typically, the ProConnect has mudguards and metal rims to suit tyres from about 700Cx28 to a slightly fatter 700Cx35.
Personally, I have always favoured the next size fatter
700Cx38 Marathon Plus Road Tyre to soften the ride and nowadays use the
700Cx40 Marathon Plus ATB Tyre (now out of production I think). However, I have fitted wider mudguards to allow for these sizes, together with Mavic A319 rims (for rim brakes).
Note that with fatter tyres, you need to let the air out of the rear tyre when fitting the wheel back into the dropout slots.
Conveniently, all these tyre sizes are accomodated by the
Schwalbe AV17 tube (AV = AutoValve usually called a Schrader valve).
Between the metal rim and the inner tube is the rim tape. Again I have stuck with Schwalbe and use their
PU rim tape which is a continuous circle rather than pulled off a roll. You would need to check what width of tape is already fitted to your rim - it might be 16mm or 20mm wide. My width of rim takes 20mm tape.
Over the past 5 years, done about 10,000 miles spread between 3 bikes with one puncture.
