It's quite good but not quite up to the rest of the Schwalbe range. Much better than the common Kenda tyres though.

I've found the larger section Marathon Plus like 1.75" and 38 mm are proportionally better for rolling resistance than the small section ones like the 28 mm, probably due to the rigidity of the smaller sizes. This is opposite to what one might expect of course.

I've had my bike over four years and it came with green slime in the tubes. I do around 50 miles a week, mostly on country lanes, and I've never had a flat. I have to admit that I've not recently had a look at the tubes to see if the slime has been needed. I've not had any problem with the slime blocking the valves. Previously I rode non-electric bikes on the same roads and did get flats fairly often, mostly from thorns, but the tyres were less robust anyway.
