Trunk Bags

When I bought my electric bike (Kalkhoff Pro Connect B10) I thought there was a good selection of trunk bags available. Wrong!

I just want a trunk bag that is easily detachable and with a few pockets. Ibera and TopPeak do them and they are just what I wanted, but they need a matching rack and my Pro Connect has a god integrated rack with no eyelets for fitting a replacement. Yes, I could fit P clips but I'd have to leave holes in the mudguard when removing the old rack, and I don't really want to do that. Altura do a velcro "landing strip" but the idea of relying on velcro and ripping it off each time I take the bag off doesn't really appeal.

The only manufacturer who offers an attachment system to existing racks is Ortlieb, but their latest bag doesn't have pockets, just a large interior. I get the feeling that their designers regularly cycle through tropical rainstorms such is their obsession with weatherproofing! Luckily I've found some old stock of their previous bag, which had an attachment that bolted to an existing rack AND has side pockets.

Who knew it would be so difficult? And was there ever a gap in the market just waiting for someone to fill .......

Yes, but I want one that's quickly detachable. I currently have a bag that's held by velcro straps and it's too much of a fiddle when I want to take it off. And, yes, I am fussy - but I'd have thought it was a common request?
If I were starting again from scratch I'd have bought a Cube Allroad and fitted my own rack. I went for the Kalkhoff partly because it had a rack and a decent chainguard.

Go to Ozzo cycles or > inmotionproducts.com< ,they were selling a bag that may suit your requirements, a mounting plate fits to the rack then the bag clips on , I might get one myself,

You might want to try Vaude who have bags with the Snap-It system or Rixen & Kaul who have the KLICK-FIX system. Both fit Racktime racks
