I put my bike on my home insurance with LV and this will cover upto 5k per bike at home and it was only a few pounds more and they will cover away from home for about £140.00 but the bike must have a lock on it when you park it up or they won't pay out.

Just bought a Trek Powerfly FS 9. Great bike to ride and looks fab too.

Regarding insurance. Our Lloyds home insurance wouldn't cover eBikes so I cancelled it and changed to Santander who insure it at home and away. They don't cover liability which is fair enough. Only £5 extra a month compared to these specialised bike insurance companies , some of whom were quoting £30 per month for a 4K bike and who don't particularly have good reviews.
