It's owned by flipping Halfords ! I didn't know that

Don't forget this also includes Wheelies which was part of Tredz.

Probably concerned by WIggle buying out CRC, Halfords probably needed to act for market share.

Well that accounts for my mates new bike having far from a good PDI
its obviously halfords at work already .

Noticed prices up on lots of stuff at CRC/Wiggle, so they definitely feel they have an advantage even if it isn't "legally" a monopoly position

I think the Tredz business model includes selling stock they don't own yet which is good for their cash flow but does mean delivery can times vary wildly IME

One thing the box shifters can be good for is the odd, silly cheap bargain though - I got a pair of Orlieb Back Rollers last year for under £60, as did a couple of other folks at the bike charity I help out at - reckon someone didn't know some Ortliebs come as pairs and others as singles . . .

Didn't know it is Halfords either. However, just bought an Avid brake for the wife's bike, cheaper than anywhere else and post free - came in two days.
