I wonder the response of the e-bikes brands with customer technical problems.
Rich bit doesn’t look professional. A e-bike with one year from new have suddenly had a controller problem and supplier ( the factory) request 40 Eurs to cover shipment fee of a new controller. Any how and after payment arranged not information have been received of the controller shipment. E- bike is under service since a month ago and still.
Is this a standard attitude ??

No this isn't standard for the decent pedelec trade, but I'm afraid if one buys illegal 1000 watt bikes from the get rich quick opportunists like Rich Bit, it's what you must expect. Traders who ignore the law when they sell are just as likely to ignore consumer protection law when help is needed.

Sorry I can't be more helpful but you are currently the second person in the forum experiencing such problems with a trader in illegal e-bikes. I think you'll just have to put it down to experience and suffer the costs and delays.

I have just been browsing eBay and there are a lot of nasty bikes being advertised. These companies are just laying in wait for unsuspecting people to hit the buy it now button.

I'm not clear - your bike is now out of your 1 year warranty? Mainstream brands usually hold a healthy stock of parts either here in the UK or easily/quickly obtainable from within the EU.

Rich Bit state they hold bikes in the UK for shipment, but in several cases I know of resellers like that it's unlikely they hold any spares for your bike here too. In those cases, some will either keep a spare bike they cannibalise for spare parts or have the factory post the parts direct to you from China. For a controller, it's unlikely it's been posted with tracking or any special priority, and could easily take between 4 and maybe 10 weeks. They'll likely only use tracked/priority post/courier on a high value item that needs a signature to prove receipt. For 40 euros, I'd think it'll be sent by Pigeon post and they won't care if it gets lost.

If it hasn't turned up within say 6 weeks I'd call them, and they'll likely re-post the item.

Go on a clay pigeon shooting day and while holding the shotgun make a short vid asking whats happened to your bike.
Send it to the company.
