TK-1 does not change the bicycle structure in any way which means globally majority of the bicycles can be converted without replacing a wheel

Well, they want your money but deliberately blur out any sign of the motor.
It sounds noisy, and because it has regenerative braking is probably ungeared and a pain to ride without electricity.

Looks like content free snake oil to me, and the actual device is not visible in the video clips. Caveat whotsit!
Apparently it says it drives the pedals, but that cannot be 100% true, if you watch the second video.
But it does use the original bike chain, so it has the same problems as mid motors have - shortened chain and sprocket life, and a walk to get home if its dark and/or you don't have chain repair tools and spares handy......
Has motors from 250 watts up to 1,000 watts.
Not 4 me.

It looks like a friction drive, which wouls account for the noise. Another possibility, though I don't think this is it, is that there is a gear ring attached to a face of the chainwheel that's driven by a motor.

That weird cogwheel in the top photo could be part of a reduction system on a jack-shaft with a snall cog on the otherside driving the chain-wheel - sort of like the GNG drive, but probably using an RC motor.

I was out today and saw the post on my phone, not clear to see on my phone but looks to be as vfr has said, a bolt on GNG style drive to the underside of the down tube . No clear pics of the drive unit can be seen but the noise not the quietest and doubt it is a game changer that will worry existing kits.

Edit:
Blurb say's no major change to the bike so means not a typical mid drive set up as that requires cranks and BB are discarded so it is a bolt on job (easy to intall and remove, reckon it's a friction tyre drive unit).

Simon Calder simply packed it in to his rucksack to take it abroad to use on any bike. I can't see it is PAS capable.

The drive can clearly bee seen in the utube clip below and is a mid drive type unit that sits just under the cross bar above the battery on the down tube. It is said to have PAS capability but very few scant details.

The motor in that Youtube vid is a chain-drive. In two shots, you can see that the top run of the chain doesn't go to the top of the chain-wheel.

Interestingly, it's completely different to what's on that woman's road bike in my picture above.39622

As it drives the top chain run, it'll have an idler sprocket as a torque sensor athat will also give the function of wrapping more chain around the drive sprocket.

the woman who joined Simon Calder on the review is supposed to be a bike mechanic but does not seem to know more about e-bikes than Simon himself.
They ride the bike on twist and go throttle and rave about it.

The twist and go option makes it illegal as a pedelec option.

Is the battery/drive combined as a one piece unit ?
For now they are being very protective of on pics/vigs and details of the fitting and design.

I think vfr is right on the motor. It also sounds like a GNR type.

Until we see the real thing in view/action we will have to keep guessing for now.
