Purchased a 26" three wheeler and upgraded to a ebike front wheel drive. Worked great for getting me around. Then I wanted to upgrade to a display unit. Got the new controller and displayed thats when the problems started. Three control unitsand displays later and still nothing works, no response from the throttle or PAS. One unit gives a error code 07 and the other two give a error code 10. Two different error codes from different controllers and display units. The controller with the error10 I found has no 5 Volts on the red wire going to the motor but the 07 error does along with my original unit. Thats all I can find that is amiss. My original unit when install the bike runs great but with no display.
Do I have three defective units? The seller will take the return and give a rebate, so I then need to reorder. Took the bike to a bike shop and they gave it back the next day. I'm can do the work and troubleshooting but about ready to give up. Can any one help ?? How to fix the error code 07 and 10 and get my bike back up and working.

Gonna need more details.
What is the origional kit? What motor is it and what are the connections - number of pins?
What controller/display combo's have you bought?
Is the battery healthy, should read 41.5-42v fully charged?

Hello Savoy, it can be exasperating when the electronics don't work following an upgrade.
Ideally can you show us a link the controller & display you purchased or pics of them please, also some details of the original kit you have on the bike inc the motor.

Can you confirm the new display when fitted with the new controller turned on and the screen worked ?

The fact that the old kit was working fine tells us the battery shouldn't be the issue.
So it is an electronic one either incompatible components or wiring sequence/connection isn't correct but as I mentioned above we will need some pics and info to go on first.

Can you return the bike back to the system without the display, and does it then work again?
If yes, its pretty certain that you have made a mistake in the wiring changes needed.
Also, never forget that Chinese companies do not always follow standard colour codes, which may be very misleading.
While doing such work, some people place a fuse in the battery wiring, say 10 amp, just in case an accidental short is made.
Of course it will also blow if you try riding the bike, then a 25 amp fuse should be a much better value....
regards and best wishes.

1. Original kit, came with a 26" wheel and motor but no identifying data for the motor.
Controller data is, DC MOTO Controller by Lithium Battery 36V. Thumb throttle with on/off button and battery status. All worked fine party for handlebar breaking and parts for speed and distance. Should have stopped with that but a bigger a more up to date display would be nice.

2. Controller is from Brainpower with S866 display ,36v/42v350 watt. No install paper work Throttle connectors did not matched had to hardwire just the red/white/black. Yellow/green/brown left unconnected coming from the throttle cable. Unit turned on but no throttle response and error code 07.

3. next ordered from ebikeling a controller, S830 display, twist throttle. The display connectors did not match so hardwired them. unit turned on but no throttle resopncen and error code E10. This unit has no +5v from controller to motor on the red/black wire. First unit di along with the second controller. Reordered a replacement controller but has same issue, no +5v out out from controller and error code E10

Each unit had issues with connectors not matching and color coded wiring not matching. I want to stay with the ebikeling controler and display. So if you can help with the wiring issue or the missing +5V I will be so happy. By the way e different controller from ebikeling where missing the +5v.

The Brainpowers are cheap, problematic and many have had issues setting them up and even d8veh once of this parish lamented how poor they were.
KT are by far the better system but you have to pay a bit more for the reliability and better range of peripherals.
