Thinking that Gazelle Easy Glider suits best

Has anybody noticed that the Raleigh German pedelec range is identical to the Kalkhoff models and the 2008 gent's model is available now. Hope they do come to the UK one way or another.

Yes, it was spotted some while ago.

This is the German Raleigh offshoot doing their own buy-in, since Raleigh UK is now in a partnership with Powabyke for e-bike marketing.

In view of that it's highly unlikely that the German machine will come here to compete with the parent company.

I have an easy glider which replaced by lafree twist
The lafree was great but lack of spare parts and batteries and a good offer persuaded me to sell it
The easy glider is about as good but a bit heavier
Its better kitted out being dutch in my view
The drum roller brakes need a bit of welly to stop the bike but of course do not get affected by the wet
I found the range about the same in the end as the Lafree 15-20 miles on the full power setting (i do pedal and tackle some hills and I weigh about 85 kilos)
I still like the crankcase drive as against front drum motors, seems to have more grunt to me
Its a lovely bike and worth a test although somewhat expensive
I hear annoyingly they are bringing out one with a bigger battery which doesnt tranfer across to my model, honestly joined up thinking?

You just be even more annoyed now John, with the new Kalkhoff Agattu hundreds of pounds cheaper, with a high power mode, much longer range battery and very powerful brakes.

You have my sympathy on both that and the non-compatibility of the new battery, maddening.
