Neat in my terms = Pretty damn good which may along similar lines as the title.
Had another play tonight and you only need to long press the right button to get the blinding intense super bright pulsing light. Although it doesn't light the way the glitzy flashing bezel was certainly very noticeable when I was riding home from work tonight also had the handle bar indicators on tonight as well.

hi all received light package yesterday, charged and tried in garden,
its more powerfull than my cree 900 lumen torch.
however no instructions , and there seems no way of turning the light completely off when not in use?

can only get rear green light as least power consumption.
seems I have to disconnect power lead from light?

Which light do you have? The one in post #1 can be switched on and off except the lighting of the on/off switches.

One of my bugbears, a green light as soon as you conect the battery ( unless it's red signifying low power)
I thought why have a 7.4v 2s battery, the inboard led driver steps it down anywho, I brought some new drivers that run straight from 3.7-4.2 volts n messing about balancing cells and no need to disconnect the battery between rides

I can't see the supplied battery pack giving enough current. Even if it could, it wouldn't last long. I think it would be better with a 6 or 8 cell pack.

i have 4 Panasonic 3400ma grade a cells it will last for hrs ive tested it

if i run my light on max and run the cells down to 2.5v it will go for ten hrs the pack is 8.4v. light and 5v 2000ma usb.

I think that DC-DC (Buck) converter is not any use to you here.

Higher voltage is also not what you need here it's the current capacity of the batteries, that looks like a big boy light. So physically it will be more batteries in the pack.

the pack i have does put out 8.4v so should work with the light ok mine gets a bit hot when i was testing it why i used a fan to cool it down.

if thats not bright enough then i dont know what is for 15 quid.

cant seem to find it but m8 says it is on there ??

i just cant see how anyone on a normal bike can go that fast tbh i was 14.1 mins and top time 13.16 avg speed 18.3mph.

heat build up i guess as with my pack on the 3x cree it does get hot fast if its inside but fine on the bike as got air flow over it.

when i ripped the pack apart for it said 7v on the bms board
