Jackhandy....you are quite right that it was your comment that there were no dealers for ebikes in Cornwall that was the catalyst to start this scheme.
It is also the reason why we are taking our roadshows to parts of the country where ebikes haven't even been thought about.
The posting, elsewhere on this forum, titled 'hello from scotland'says it all....David Webley and Jimod have Kudos bikes near Linlithgoe,Scotland....Jim's comment .........
'I'll more than likely be riding my Kudos to Linlithgow tomorrow, weather permitting. There's plenty of quiet roads in the area to 'play' on your bike. It's good to hear of another Kudos in the area. Actually it is good to hear of another E-bike in the area.'
This is what we are trying to achieve, please understand its not just for Kudos bikes,we are trying to bring groups of ebike users together. To discuss the merits of the ebike types,to have someone to talk to if your bike has a problem or discuss customizing/improvements,to have a group ride etc.
I could have kept our Redbridge day to just Kudos but by involving many of my competitors it is gaining a momentum that is evolving into the National electric bike day. Almost on a daily basis the other ebike suppliers are coming up with ideas to enhance this day....on our kit car business we exhibit at the National Kit car show at Stoneleigh, this show is partly about looking at the cars but more it is a 'meet' for kit car clubs, who camp at the venue, organise music,BBQ's,discuss the cars....we hope that in a modest way the Redbridge event will be a 'meet' for fellow ebike enthusiasts.
I am starting to look at similar venues 'up north' where I will invite those ebike suppliers/dealers located near to those venues, that I hope will evolve into a northern ebike event.
KudosDave
