We had a thread about Eddie's AVE MH7 which he is selling.

I see it's still available and he has reduced the price to £1,150.

my second hand formula predicted £1181, pretty close to the asking price but now with AVE future still uncertain, I reckon he should accept anything above £1000.

It actually is a nice bike - i had a go on it a few months ago. Although small-wheeled, it still handles pretty well, and that's adjusted for me being over 6 ft tall. Also, it's German and built up to a level of quality accordingly, and it's Bosch crank drive, which IMHO is the best system if you still want to feel as if you are actually riding a bike as opposed to sitting on a motorbike.

IMHO it's still over-priced. I think last time we discussed it, I calculated £900. Now, I think something less because of the uncertainty of the battery. We're starting to see Bosch batteries packing up now.

Translation of that second link, sounds depressing about these Bosch batteries.

My thoughts are that if you drive batteries hard, they'll wear out more quickly, but don't forget that you get a reasonable guarantee on Bosch stuff.

Bosch battery garantee: 2 years, 70% residual capacity, up to 500 cycles.
It works out about £1 per charge. For comparison, a Kudos battery works out about 50p per charge.
