Not to defend Halfrauds, and a long way off piste but....Our local Halfruads have them in stock.
I'm generally not a fan of big corporations, but in cycling terms I've never had a problem with Halfords. The ones I've been to have been helpful and friendly (admittedly I've never bought a bike from them). Not to defend Halfrauds, and a long way off piste but...
I also have been disappointed with various Lbs, but have found halfords staff to be very helpful if you get the right person and not one of the youngsters they seem to employ. I have bought 2 halfords bikes. First was a mid range mountain bike, and the second a Boardman Road bike. Mountain bike was good once everything was retightened, and Boardman has been excellent.I'm generally not a fan of big corporations, but in cycling terms I've never had a problem with Halfords. Local bike shops on the other hand have been a mixed bag - I've experienced both incompetent mechanics and sniffy 'proper cyclist' cliqueyness.
Incidentally, those deals you bagged seem to be rather good!
