thanks to D8veh,Flecc and others for advice education and support.
I have two velomobile snow and get 18 mph averages without electric assist.
So I will not need to frequent these pages.
It's been interesting and enjoyable, only one person on my ignore list.
Trex is missed too for his trustworthy advice.
So long and see you on the road.

What? A D8vexit!

Thanks for the inspiration, I will be joining you as a bent rider hopefully early next year. And because of my environment I will be continuing with e-assistance to boot.

I'll miss you as a person and a forum contributor. I've appreciated your comments over the years, but I must say that I won't miss all the confusion you've caused by having the same name as me. When you come back, you can come back incognito with a different name. We won't mind.

Maybe someone will start up the Bristol event again sometime in the future so that we can share a beer. Good luck in the meantime.

Can't a man be happy with one Velomobile? I would like to try one sometime.

Anyway my jealousy aside, all the best D8ve, don't be a stranger , you must post once in a while.
Good wishes from another laid back cyclist.

Well Flecc, I have had a recumbent trike high on 25 years, I recently upgraded to an Optima Rider trike, my previous Pete Rose having commited Hari Kiri ,by collapsing whilst ridden by my friend,, I was going to convert it, but shall hang fire doing that with my current Rider.

We've the occasional recumbent trike member over the years, but recumbent bike members like D8ve are a rarity. Years ago we had member Jeremy who had one and also converted it very neatly to an e-recumbent, but he eventually departed to Endless Sphere. Photo below:

Hi Folks
I am still around the recumbent scene, Since getting the X type estate and fighting off a few health issues, project X the folding e-trikes progress has been slower than normal , we had another zombie fest last month with 5 of us , 3 atomic zombies are in Holland for a 2 week tour on e-trikes. I can be contacted by PM if anyone wants to ,
Last weekends ride had a pub in it of course

regards emma

Here is the latest projects.

project X the folding e trike and the X type
Unlike the mondeo the Jaguar has silly tail lamps that restrict the width and the length internally is a bit shorter .

The new narrow track and shorter project X will fit either folded or in one piece , a little more progress this week with the chain route worked out ready for me to make the BB and front pulley mounts later , then I can sort the USS linkage once I know the chain and steering linkage won't meet . Trying to spend more time riding than working when the sun shines and my feet allow it . The removable seat frame was made a couple of weeks ago before the zombiefest , leaving brakes , USS and handle bars still to make .
Before starting on the electrics . A bottle battery will fit behind the seat cutting the weight down when fitting the trike in the car

This project will last me until Christmas at this rate .

Yes, really daft having tail lamps that face the rear. ;)

Seriously, probably a leftover from the X type's Mondeo inheritance, since they had tail lamps that usually overlapped the boot entrance, often onto the hatch door.

the Mondeo had sensible full height tail lights , that didn't restrict the width and the rear space not hampered by the curved tailgate , Only bought it because all the Mondeos
I found had starship mileage where this one was one owner and low mileage , Towbar next on the list as well as finish the trike.

later's Emma
