Only the people related by being of one family, as companies they are very bitter rivals. Dahon is now Dr David Hon, the engineer who first designed the bikes and his youngest brother Henry who is the financial wiz who made the founding of Dahon possible.
Dr David's son Joshua and wife Florence having long been in dispute on aspects of the company's direction finally broke away to form Tern. There's no love lost between them, David has been setting lawyers and courts on his ex wife and son, claiming they have no rights to any of the designs, but it seems Florence and Joshua have been able to resist his attempts sufficiently well for Tern to prosper.
