Hi, I do think that this is very well designed, not cheap though.

A test ride is essential with this bike in my opinion, because they have moved the seat closer to the handlebars to keep the overall length similar to the Vectron. Looks like a very upright ride.

Raboa, I do like the yellow one, ye# it looks very well built but I do wonder about the crank drive and load on the chain without which the bike becomes a static exhibit. I’d prefer a hub drive able to take most of the load.

What? You don't have a chain tool and some links in your on board tool kit?

AK, thats right - 60+ years ago I had such things but having been off biking for as long they have been lost - but in any event with my back problem plus being half-hearted (Dr’s terminology) through having seven coronary stents and shortness of breath I couldn’t cope anyway. I’m hoping that I wont break my Quartz bike.........this is my last straw attempt at getting mobile again, and my wife too on her e-trike.
Perhaps I shouldnt say this but if the chain should come off l’m knackered because if I arrived at floor level it would take a medic team to get me up!

The joys of getting old are fewer and fewer and don’t compare with a once very active 28 year fire service life.

AK, I’ve just ordered a deraileur chain tool, complete 6 speed shimano chain and chain lube from Evans cycles so hopefully that should see me ok?

The only time I have seen one in use was up in the mountains and that was on a vanilla (non-pedelec) MTB. But I do have one in my tool kit and will carry one when the trike is motorised.

Yes, this is a clever machine, especially if you have limited storage space, but £4000?!* The Radpower one comes out at about £1800,
https://radpowerbikes.eu/ which is quite a difference. The Yuba Spicy Curry is about £3,500, and a good design, but anything too expensive is a bit off-putting for people considering a cargo bike. I found this Argo kit:
https://argobikes.com/ which seems to provide a lot of capacity at a good price. There are a lot of clever people out there!

I think the radpower has missed a trick, they could have modified the frame to accommodate a second battery and moved the controller. The rear triangle frame bottom platforms could have also been removable, it would have given the bike a cleaner look when they are not needed. I imagine a bike frame builder could carry out the modifications.
