I'd love to bring in a direct drive bike like the Grace One that Cephalotus mentioned in the other thread. The problem is the compulsory insurance and wear of helmet would put 90% of potential customers off.
Cephalotus has pointed out that in Germany, s-pedelecs account for a tiny market share for those reasons.
the direct drive motors are great at over 15mph and remain unbeatable at over 25mph.

It does look good, although I dont need one that goes that fast really...but it would make the commute even quicker ;)
For me it would depend on the insurance cost. I could only hope that it would be nothing like paying the ridiculous some of money for car insurance on a car I hardly use but unfortunately do need to keep hold of.
Not read that thread properly, best take a proper look!
