Hi guys new to the forums. Thankyou.

so i recently came across error 43 on my vengeance 2022 model, i ordered a wheel/motor off ebay stated it was off the 2024 model but the plugs dont match, is there any way around this? Can i order a new motor wire that runs from the ecu to the motor so my bike works ill attach photos. The female plug is too big for the male that comes from the motor ive just bought

thankyou

One motor has hall sensors and a speed sensor, the other is sensorless. You need the matching controller to work each motor. They're not interchangeable.

Did you test your original motor to see if there was a short in it, because shorts are extremely unlikely? The short is more likely in the controller or cable, so changing the motor wouldn't help.

no mate how would i test the motor? I was told with getting error 43 my easiest option was to change it

You get a meter, set it to beep or resistance. Put one probe on the case and the other on each of the three big pins in the connector. If the meter beeps or otherwise shows a short, that's it. Next, you need to test the three coils. You set your meter to the lowest resistance scale. Touch the probes together to see what it shows on the screen, which is what you get when there's a short. Test each pair of big pins in the motor connector, which makes three tests. If you get any result other than a short, they're OK.

Next check the controller and cable. Set the meter to measure resistance. 20k scale should be OK, but it doesn't really matter if you're looking for a short. Put one probe on the positive battery connection to it and the other on each of the three big pins in the motor cable connector. Repeat the test using the negative battery connector. You're looking to see whether any of those six results are the same as when you touch the probes together.

im guessing i cant do a controller swap? Put the 2024 model controller into my 2022 model?
