Summit Cycles Aberystwyth refused to service my LEGAL E bike today EVEN THOUGH all I wanted was a brake replacement (pads) and chain/cassette

I CLEARLY states see the image

But part of the serial number had 750, like (eg) 1833575025

They said this made it a 750 watt motor

In case of thicko rozzers, I keep a copy of the Amazon receipt stating "250W" on my phone. Also Bafang's attestation of conformity, provided by my kit's Amazon Marketplace seller. If it isn't too dark and they can read, I suppose I'll stay out of jail.

I don't rely on bike shops for anything.

It is 250, how can a motor be changed surely that is how it is built

turn up the amps in the controller even red dragon will void the warranty if you change the settings.

a lbs wont even fix a flat tyre!

Yes you can. You just need the Bosch software instead of Bafang and the password.

you cant because it will trip the bms its only 20a and if you trip it it gets bricked!

we have tried its not worth the hassle just bung a vest controller on the motor.

Halfords is 15 minutes cogs y gogs 2 and a half hours there 5 hour round trip

I know what you are going to say, I took it to Halfords getting it back next week

Do what most of us do , learn to do it your self . All the jobs you want done are easypeasy , it's not like you want a wheel build.

I keep forgetting how long mid drives have been in operation. Hub drive, thats like ancient history, but i always thought mid were half that timescale.

yep and it is still kicking ass tho i can get all parts for cost from peter and is my job to destroy the motor because if i cant kill it no one can.

it has a peter pan custom cx motor with spacers to match the ses wheel and frame so have 50-10 on cassette with e shift eagle and 52 front as 2.5 reduced to 22t.

not 1 road bike can beat me and i can sprint flat out for 5 miles they have fkn no chance.
