Steepest Street No Problem for eZee Street

What is claimed to be the steepest street in the world proved no problem for the high torque of an eZee Street.

Baldwin Street, Dunedin, New Zealand is recorded by The Guinness Book of Records as the steepest, although there is some controversy about that claim.

Non the less, it does shows the pulling power of the eZee motor.

Here is a news paper article about the demonstration ride Electric bicycle makes grade on Baldwin St | Otago Daily Times Online News : Otago, South Island, New Zealand & International News

Blimey that is a steep hill by the look of it. I imagine some cars/vehicles have trouble with that ;-) Can you imagine trying to get up that in snow?

Blooming 'eck ... I'd hate to have to ride up that every time I went home . It does look very similar in gradient to the hill which gives me a cardio fix for a week every time I ride up it (and I'm pretty sure has contributed to my fixation on torque !!!). If one of the most beautiful places in the whole area didn't lie at the top, said hill would be getting a wide berth, as it's the only route which has me dropping the gears down to 1 or 2 and reluctantly conceding that managing 8mph on full power assist has to be preferable to getting off and pushing. Never seen a lycra make it up in one go without a rest half way - and a load of them get driven up there by friends and family to downhill home  :p
