I had typed in SRAM PC X1 11 speed chain, and it came up.

lets just hope the new 12 spd brings down the prices a bit as thats what ill have to get when mines dead.

also you cant add links to them so make sure you get the length right as no going back once you remove them.

One way or another I have averaged less than 6 months per cassette, SES sprocket, front chain ring and chain. When my current XX1 goes I will switch to the cheaper SRAM cassette. Also changed two XX1 derailleurs.

What is the actual gain by having the extra gears? I have one with 9 and one with 10 and TBH I don't notice a difference. I can see the need on a road bike where closer ratios can be beneficial, but on an e-bike is it really necessary?

I am surprised there is no e-bike specific cassette yet with wider range between gears. The only ones I have seen who have actually thought about e-bikes is pinion.

Is there the possibility to build your own cassette or freewheel from scratch with your own chosen gears?

i can add a er cog to my cassette so go from 42 to a 44 but there expensive and will only work with the 1 i have, the cheaper 11 spd 1 is in 1 piece and all pinned together so cant use the er cog on those.

there is no other 12 spd on the market yet so can charge what they like tho its a rip off for what it is.

buy the time you bought that the xd hub shifter ect you talking 700 quid

At those prices a Rohloff 14speed ?
It should last a life time and chains are cheap for it.
