All blocks are made with different compounds. The harder the compound the more squealing and rim wear. Due to wear of the pivots of the brakes it gets more mechanical clearance. The squealing is caused by vibration. The solution could be new brakes but we mount soft pads from Shimano. These pads are very soft and give excellent brake power. Wear of these pads is somewhat faster then normal pads. Type of brakepad: Shimano Nexave BR-C900

Squealing front brakes are very helpful to pedestrians in your path. I had them on my old bike and used them instead of the more aggressive bell.
