springer front end?

ive probably been watching american chopper too much....

but i want an uprated front end.....and i dont know whats it exactly called in bicycle terms and im pretty hard lucked finding one. so im gonna throw up a few pics on here and hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

here is a pic of a bicycle chopper


i want a 26" front end like this (suspension struts anchor top n bottom to frame) but with suspension and pretty beefy to boot.

heres a pic of kinda what id like to do with the handlebars, so they also mount off the suspension struts


i hope that kinda gives you all an idea of what to suggest.

How about 'girder' front forks.

There is an American company that make them cycle specific, and as soon as I can remember the name, I'll post it up.

Might also be worth looking at 'leading link' front forks, and 'low rider' springer front fork.

A quick search threw up some very basic chopper forks.

HUZZAH. charity shop FTW again!!!!

10 quid for a set of forks n a wheel (bonus that rim is in black).
only took me 4 hours and 3 dremmel bits to make the headset thingy fit the larger tube.

handle bars are cable tied on atm to get teh feel/idea, will be sorting that out in the next day or so. probably going to adapt some bull bar end things.

finally finished my handlebars. envolved cutting and welding some other bits but its done....finally

check out my functional yet terrible welding

Looks sort of flat tank V flat track.

Take the electrics out and put in an old pre war JAP V twin and you could use it for wall of death at a fair. Or as above an old speedway bike.
