My Speedict is still sitting in its box as I just have not had time to play with it :(

I am hoping to use it to set the end points of my throttle for the Goldant motor using a ecrazyman controller rather than the stock pedelec controller it comes with.

The ecrazyman controller works perfectly but the throttle does not seem to take it up to full RPM i.e. I get about 14-15mph unassisted which is about 1-2mph less than with the stock controller.

Is this going to be easy to do ?

Regards

Jerry

Has it got a 3 speed switch.. ?

If no 3 way speed switch has been fitted, then maybe its been programmed to give 80% at the default of speed setting 2 (no switch), so program it to set speed 1, 2 and 3 to 100%.

This of course needs sorting before fitting your Speedict.

speedict mercury can increase voltage (throttle level) to speed controller i.e. your full throttle (twist grip) send 3.9v to ecrazyman speed controller that run 12mph, if speedict mercury feed 4.1v to it might run 15mph provided 3.9v is not ecrazyman's ceiling throttle input !

note : port 4 of speedict mercury can delivery voltage up to ~4.8v

That's looking promising, Danny; I'm looking forward to having pre-sets for the most common user modes:

One way of setting-up my bouncer would be to have 70% power at 70 cadence (for example), with presets for shifting the cadence set-point up or down at will; then using the throttle for 100% power when needed. Old_Dave suggested changing the number-of-magnets setting to acheive this & I think it would work if I had presets.

Did you look into the strange reporting of cadence in port status, as Advancedo (on ES) & I both found?

Last, but not least, have you any idea when I might receive my replacement Speedict(s)?

All the best.

P.S. I like the new website, including Paradigm :)
It works fine on my tablet using Opera..

Yes it does and I have tried setting it to 100% as the controller is programmable.

I guess I could see what voltage is being output on the throttle with a meter ?

be patient ... that's complicated, later after android firmware issues are fixed we will back on track to enhance 2 major area : legal and throttle mode !

in some countries users are getting more legal concern, and we will continue to enrich the customize profile for fast switch legal mode, and new feature we called dynamic legal which is allow linked users (community) can report hot spot (the area you must turn on legal mode) whenever your bike entered into the area speedict mercury will automatically turn legal on :)

on throttle mode we would like to use cadence rate + cadence power + speed throttle mode to simulate torque sensor like action and allow power assist can be selected via switch or android (not 3 speed voltage switch approach), our direction is to ECO, TOUR, SPORT power assistance approach.

yes, after some parameters turning he can archive what he want :) , so we would like to design a tools that through analyze port status report we can automatically calculate the suitable gain and time value without trial and error !

i think next week :) tracking number - RA864979785HK, inside your box it has 3 speedict, 1 x speedict mercury and 2 x speedict mercury (45v edition. see attached photo), please don't feed high voltage to it, it is mainly for android phone test.

I kinda like the stock pedelec controller. I am still uncertain if throttle or pedelec is better. I think it depends on the bike. I def prefer throttle on the Brompton but on the faster swift I like pedelec.

Of course I could have both but throttle access would make me less likely to pedal without power.

Can anyone tell me what the 3-socket connectors, that fit the speedict ports, are called?

And suggest where I can get a few?

Thanks

Very seriously considering getting a Speedict at the moment - must admit to having as much understanding of what's being posted up here as I did about motors and controllers a few weeks ago (i.e. one is heavy and the other is a bunch of wires in a box) but no doubt it will get clearer down the line if I get one.

In very simple terms, how is the debugging going and has this been tested with Samsung Galaxy SIII International Version (Unlocked) ? I have the GT-I9300 16GB version with an extra 32GB microSD - Android Version 4.1.2 originally obtained from Hong Kong (Panamoz) if that makes any difference.

I've had problems with the Bluetooth on this phone being unable to link to the stereo system in a Mini very recently and never use Bluetooth for anything else but it did get me worried a bit if the system is dependent on a compatible bluetooth connection to work without bugs.

This is going to be my phone for the foreseeable future so it needs to be compatible.

Also, how much is the hardware (delivered) and how long does it take to arrive ? Conscious of Chinese New Year being imminent (enough said !).

Ta.
