hi I have a 2015 specialized turbo x 2015... And I cannot stand the feeling of when the motor cuts off at 15.5mph and it just holds you back its like riding with the brakes on till you freewheel very hard to ride past into the 20mph zone... Does anyone know how to flash the limiter or have the kit to do the modification it's driving me crazy... Not interested in anyone's legals opinions as the Thread just gets lost in the arguments.... I am more the willing to PAY CASH to get this mod done..
Thanks lads

You get used to it. I was in the same position until I modified my riding style and now I don't have that feeling any more. The trick is to not find yourself constantly riding at or near the cut off speed. Around town I have changed riding so that 25 kph is my top speed so the motor never cuts out. On the road I just ride past 25 kph using road conditions so without ever feeling held back.

You can't de-restrict a go SwissDrive you have to get the s-pedelec version. The reason being that the controller is inside the motor and there is no external speed detector or options you can get to from the LCD.

Just thought: you could swap motors with the lady who has a Stromer ST1 s-pedelec.

All Specialized are shipped to the uk in the 25mph format and restricted with software using there diagnostic tool and the relevant stickers license plate reflectors are removed or accessorise b4 handover to the customer so it's a software issue that requires a flash diagnostic tools is for dealer only

That's what I said "YOU" i.e. you, yourself,... cannot de-restrict a Go SwissDrive the Eproms are in the controller which is in the motor.

How can I be more clear?

There is a lady on the forum who has a Stromer with a de-restricted Go SwissDrive motor and she wants to go legal. You don't mind not being legal. Set up a motor swap... Unlace rim, relace rim, plug in, ride, be happy...

You can get it done at a Specialised dealer outside UK...one in Amsterdam has said they will do it...I am looking to take mine on the train...although trains (particularly Eurostar aren't as bike friendly as they used to be

I've just bought a Turbo X UK version
Could you tell me details on which dealer and where in Holland will change the restrictions on motor please?

With reference to anotherkiwi's suggestion of swapping motors and relacing them, it might be even easier to just swap rear wheels if all the connectors are the same.

I'm wondering if I can buy Turbo S Rear wheel complete as spare part and have Holland shop do a refit? To Turbo X
Turbo S unrestricted of course :)
I must translate an email in Dutch to them

you can only buy that if you are a dealer and its over 700 dollars.

i can not find any other way to unlock that bike with out it.

might be best to sell it and get a bike you can unlock or dongle like the turbo levo with a brose motor.

Not worried about the money, you sure no one will sell one to a consumer, shipped in from Europe maybe??
I could help others out if I could get one..
Maybe someone already has?

if you can find a bike shop that sells those bikes then they could buy one but will need to be a reg dealer with them to get it or would not be able to log in via the software portal i think same as the bosch 1.

could be wrong tho as never seen that thing working even with the bosch 1 it will not let you remove the 15mph limit as only bosch can do that.
