Hello,

Sorry I'm doing a bit of a drive by here... I own a Specialised Diverge Comp E5 Womens road bike from 2018. I've bought a conversion kit from Swytch - 1x Swytch PRO Kit 100mm fork ETRTO 622 Blk

I took my bike in for a service a few days ago, and decided to tell them all about my new kit that I was buying and I've been advised to do some more research on my forks. Trouble is... I've no idea what I'm looking for. I've done some Googling and it's something to do with stress and how threads are manufactured but I really need a breakdown if someone is kind enough? The kit was ordered and paid for and I have a trailer for my 2 year old and I'm planning on cycling to a festival next year and am currently using the bike on the 60 minute cycle to work everyday etc, but I want a bit more speed.

I feel embarrassed that I didn't research this before but the site said any bike and that the BBC said it was great so I'm not sure where to go with this next.

Thank you all. :)

Show us a pic of the forks.
What material are they made from ?
Are they QR or thru axle/maxles ?

I'm looking at your bike https://www.specializedconceptstore.co.uk/product/11255/2018-women-s-diverge-e5-comp/ and it seems to be through-axle design so I think its going to be unlikely.. your options would be to get a clunker to pair with the Swytch and trailer and save your Specialized or to swytch (boom!) your forks for a normal steel / Ali setup that have u-shaped drop outs.

For my money I'd be looking on FB Marketplace et al for a "lockdown, never used any more" bike as there seems to be quite a few popping up ;-)

If the bike has maxle type then one can't use a generic hub motor such as used by swytch.
