Hi,
I made a bike from a kit, and model batteries. I'm enjoying it very much.

When I connect the battery to the charger or the bike, I get a spark. It doesn't bother me, but is it best to avoid it, and if so how?
Cheers, Camerart.

This is the inrush of current charging up the capacitors in the controller and charger. Nothing to worry about but if you don't like it then you can change the connectors to XT90 Antispark connectors, but also power the charger on before connecting the battery.

Hi A,
Ok, if it's not doing any harm, I'll ignore it. I used to use a resistor to charge the caps, but it's a faff.
Cheers, C.
