I was quite lucky in that my cables had a fair bit of slack in them before i changed the handlebar.
It took about 2"of slack up with the higher Raleigh bar.
Might be worth checking beforehand.
Also had to fit new grips. Could not remove even with heat gun on them to the point of smouldering. Had eventually to cut off with knife.
