I had a ride or three of the Neo Carbo at the Eden bash & liked it a lot - Very sharp & responsive; but no good whatever to an ageing trecker on Cornish lanes.

My 29er with 2.2 Bontrager small-knobblies rides beautifully, even with the forks locked out...

But there's not a lot of smooth tarmac down here - Not on roads I'd want to ride, anyway.

Depends on how good the roads are where you ride. I wouldn't want to be without it around these parts now. The minor roads are bloody awful and getting worse, and as to the lanes where I live... I've seen better bridleways than some.

If your ever in this neck of the woods, you welcome to have a ride.

I think you would be pleasantly surprised.

Blimey this is an old thread to have resurrected. How things have changed.

The CDF happens to be one of my favourite of all time bikes. Quite a classic.

I went out for a ride yesterday with my brother-in-law, with him taking the Macina e-mtb and myself on the Ultra 1964. I have to say that I'm getting increasingly hooked on pedal only bikes, and spent yesterdays ride thinking how much fun that it would have been to have tried it on a drop bar Canic or similar. I'd would have liked to been able to discover the differences.
