I'd be very interested to see photos or details regarding battery markings, and of the controller and display. Warranty voiding photos of the battery cells, would deffo be asking too much!

Photos as per request. Not much information there. Date on battery worries me a bit. I will be happy to open battery and take a photo, but after 2 years

Does anybody know how to remove key while lock is open? It should probably be kept like that, but it annoys me to be honest.

There are five connectors on battery. Hope it helps.

All Shiano bikes are back to full price now unfortunately, but I have a feeling prices will drop at some point again, so worth to keep an eye on.

I wonder how Amazon will deal with warranty claims, but I hope Amazon will keep high standards of customer care.

If all five are actually utilised and wired then a CANbus system is in use , any future issue with repair will be fruaght without a dealer.

One would hope that only the two outer pins are wired and simple uart comms are used.

So if you bought bike with charger like that, I suggest you contact customer service and complain. You might get 10 up to 25% cashback depending on who you are talking to.

I used to work for a company that sold products with a eu plug either 2 or 3 pin within the UK but with a 3 pin UK plug adapter of the correct type that was securely screwed to prevent removal. That seemed to be ok and also bought a Teac amplifier from within the UK that came with a similar arrangement. I guess however if you don't get the adapter included it is illegal. Also anything you personally import i.e. aliexpress, ebay products from China etc often come without a UK plug or UK adapter.

You are very much right. Adapter securely attached to prevent removal is one of legal options.

They were there when the thread started but the prices soon doubled. It seems to have been a sort of loss leader to attract attention with only the few who got in quickly getting the cheap ones.

I could have had three or four bikes at the beginning of the thread, but as Flec has said they soon put the price back up.

Did anyone buy one of these, in particular the Moon Nexus 7. If so, how was it? It may just fit what a friend needs for a 12 mile commute, or would it just be a rubbish nightmare for her? She's set on hub gears which severely limits her choice.

My wife loves it. Bike is a bit on a slow side. Perhaps to slow for commute, but ideal for weekend bike rides with children. Coaster break is super annoying and I miss throttle, but apart from that bike is OK. Personally I wouldn't pay £789

Thankyou for the reply. I hate coaster brakes too, but my friend is Danish and doesn't mind them (I think she even likes them. most curious). I don't think she'll miss the throttle either. Yes, it looked a bargain when it was around £400, but around £800 is a bit much with unknown customer service. Maybe the 'almost new' at £600 will suite, we'll see. Anyway, your comments are very helpful, thanks again.

Customer service is not unknown. This bike is sold and delivered by Amazon.
If you have a problem with a bike they will splash cash to make you happy.

Before first ride bike must be thoroughly checked as assembly is poor.

It's about time Amazon started buying and selling ebikes in bulk themselves, and they wouldn't be doing so if their beancounters and in-house boffins weren't confident about safety and quality of the product. I hope it forces the price of conversion kits down... but does this have a Bosch battery? Looks like a Powerline.

Bought one of these last week

Pleasantly surprised when it arrived, battery is Greenway, brakes are woeful so I have fitted Shimano SLX hydraulics with a 180 rotor, it will face plaqnt me easily now

Rest of the bike is ecxellent value for money, I paid £692.00 and am more than happy

Hi, am new but do have. SCHIANO emoon.

I noticed the comments on CAN coms. I have two batteries and both work. Is that normal for CAN? I would like to upgrade for a bigger battery and wonder how difficult that would be if CAN?

Also, the Nexus 7 version the stronger ebike version SG-C3001-7D obviously will be near bullet proof with a front motor. But the mention of it being 9 speed is puzzling. Can anyone expand further?
