Ok Weinstein is obviously a monster,the 'casting couch' appears to have existed for decades in Hollywood.
But how many aspiring young actresses have swung their legs over a producers desk,these ladies are not rushing forward to say that they used their sex to swing a job. Maybe more fed up that sleeping with Weinstein didn't get them the part!!!
I loved the comment from an actress who was proud she had turned down sex with Weinstein,three times............out of five !!!
When I worked at Ford Dagenham,as a young student apprentice I walked an extra 200 yards to avoid walking through the female dominated trim shop,those 'ladies' used innuendos and language that I never realised existed as a young guy,especially from women.
My wife worked for one of the most prestigious banks in the city as a receptionist,the guys in the loan dept used to purposely wait for both to get jammed together in a narrow security door,she just accepted that sexual harassment was an annoying aspect of work in the 70's,certainly much of it wouldn't be tolerated today.
Perhaps the Tories need to have a clearout to distract the news from disastrous Brexit,for a few days Davis and Boris are not frontline news.

Although a funny comment, it was far from that, he was clearly traumatised. The aggressive sexuality of those women en masse had to be experienced to understand. As I posted the engineers were genuinely scared to be sent there and the service manager had to operate a rota to keep each one's experiences equal.

That's really strange. I was lying in bed watching the late news last night and thinking exactly the same thing about how many women and men use their bodies and good looks to advance their position, whether in the workplace or anywhere else that they can gain an advantage.

I think that the world is going mad. It all started with the political correctness movement. The ones we should care about are those who cannot defend themselves because they need a job.

There are other more pressing issues, than investigating actions which may or may not have been crimes at the times they were committed. The statutes of limitations is there for a purpose. If the women were above the age of consent, and even if he and others were sleazeballs, and used whatever influence he\ they had available, it makes them also complicit and calling foul at this stage, decades on , is a bit rich..
For any one who succumbed, there were others who had the strength of character to walk away.

Having said that there is rampant misogyny in the workplace.. and it needs to be called out at every occasion. But called out as it occurs not decades later..

Very true. Our village church has dropped the term Christmas Fair in favour of Winter Fair. I noticed it a few days ago when I saw a board propped up outside the church gates. The same thing happens in towns and cities, we now have Winter Lights and Winter Light switch on ceremonies.

It caused me to wonder why that had happened. Where did the order to remove the word Christmas come from? Who had complained or been offended? What points were discussed at the meeting where the decision was taken and who were the attendees?

My guess is, and I think that I will be correct in my assumption, no one has complained, no one has been offended, no meeting has taken place and no discussion has happened. I would certainly be surprised if someone of a different faith had asked for the word Christmas to be dropped.

Golliwog doll racism charges against Jena Mason dropped

I love that one: Woman with black people living next door sticks a golliwog in her window for all to see. That's obviously not good for racial harmony. The neighbour complains so police come and arrest the woman. There's apparently (according to spokesman on the tv yesterday) people getting their houses broken into and all their stuff nicked. When they call the police, they only get a telephone call and a crime number - not even a visit. Why did the police not just ring the woman and ask her to take the goliwog out of her window?

Very true. Our village church has dropped the term Christmas Fair in favour of Winter Fair. I noticed it a few days ago when I saw a board propped up outside the church gates. The same thing happens in towns and cities, we now have Winter Lights and Winter Light switch on ceremonies.

It caused me to wonder why that had happened. Where did the order to remove the word Christmas come from? Who had complained or been offended? What points were discussed at the meeting where the decision was taken and who were the attendees?

My guess is, and I think that I will be correct in my assumption, no one has complained, no one has been offended, no meeting has taken place and no discussion has happened. I would certainly be surprised if someone of a different faith had asked for the word Christmas to be dropped.

Who is it that makes these ridiculous decisions?

As far as the feelings of peoples from other lands and cultures are concerned, the rule for them should be the old bible adage:

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

When they leave the culture of their land and come here, this is where our culture rules and they must accept that.

Strangely I don't come across these PC local decisions in London. Perhaps it's because the white British born in London are now a minority, so the majority of many other cultures get on with their lives not feeling affected by any cultural dominance.
