I did not notice anything wrong with the new server. all the links to menu items are still same. I use MS Edge on Win10.

Ditto. No problems on either Windows 7 (desktop) or Windows 10 (laptop).

Not an issue specific to the new server; it has been 'wrong' for at least a year, and the same on all (at least many) browsers.

to clarify:
Click on 'new posts' (time t1)
possibly open some of those posts in another tab
wait a while
hit F5 (time t2)

Expected behaviour: see all new posts up to time t2.
Actual behaviour: we only see posts up to time t1; noting the fact that some of these are now'read'

It's not a big issue, clicking 'new posts' again does the right thing.
It is just another irritating triviality to have on the brain that this site works differently from most.

Mistakes were made, but they have corrected them, which shows the system is working.

The problem is how do you know if you can trust the coder and publisher of the app? The system can't tell the difference between the bona fide and the malicious. The system relies on victims reporting.

How can you know what anything is doing anywhere?

You can sue google and Microsoft but go after those who pay 50 dollars to list their app on google play? I can't see that happening.

Thread load speed really has slowed to a crawl over the past 12 hours or so - I've tried with three different data connections and three devices.

End of the month can get tricky if there has been a lot of quota used, perhaps they're reducing connection numbers to save money?

Yesterday and today I found longer threads, Nealh Yosepower hub kits and my very long ongoing review of my Haibike Yamaha would not load for me, and loading has never been a problem before. Going onto my own profile and trying to load a selection of my posts would not work.
