I've just had my 100th post and have therefore been elevated to the dizzy heights of "senior member". Are there any other children of the 60s (well, 50s in my case) out there who wince slightly at this heirarchy and wonder whether the administrators of this site might not consider discontinuing it?

"wince" ?....................if someone is able to put together a website that is brilliant in that you can get all the education on e-bikes you want, make friends on line and then meet up at bike days, i know the amount it takes to run sites and rather russ then me, plus there are "helpers" who make sure its a fit place to use...if they want to call themselves king and queen and their helpers princes its fine by me.:) ..there isnt many things in life thats free..this is one of them and im just happy to be able to use it for free.. as my supervisors say to me when i suggest a jobs not how i like it to be..."they pay"....at that point i understand....lol...

Age is only a number Chris;)
Being a senior is no measure of intelligence, knowledge or wisdom, but a handfull of Senior members of the forum are exceptional when it comes to those attributes. As for the 'Guru', he is in a different league:cool:

Yes, it looks like there are, Chris - the titling system has been questioned before and Russ (rsscott) has said he is open to thoughts/views and he'd like something a bit tongue-in-cheek :) see this thread to add to the ideas.

I don't think the current titles should cause any concern of a heirarchy though because the forum is extremely fair, open, polite and well-informed - they could just be changed perhaps to something more user-friendly :). I honestly never notice the titles anyway and they only denote a member's post count.

One benefit of being here longer is that sometimes you can remember threads, and even find them sometimes!

Stuart.

Yeh as an anarchist (courtesy of my father) this is the most eglatarian forum possible..any one posts..the forumpeeps(c) LOOKS AND JUDGESWEATHER TO ACT, LISTEN OR COMMENT. NON JUDGEMENTAL,then anyone in the forum can comment..and all can judge the post and the comment..pure communication.

I'm more than happy to change the titles! I have to admit, I gave it no thought when I installed the forum software and left it with the default settings.

So to actually do something about it, any suggestions please reply to this thread. Once we've got a few ideas I'll create a poll so everyone can vote for their favourite.

If it ain't broke don't fix it is my view for what its worth.
Except for perhaps bestowing the rank of Saint on a certain Guru. Have you ever come across someone so fair, impartial, knowledgeable, prolific and energetic as he?

24.6 miles this afternoon in hills and headwinds at an average of exactly 15 mph.

The slowest UFO in recorded history. :):p

...We have found him Flecc! Aldby is the one who has a picture of you ,(dressed in black, of course), pinned to a wall in his garden shed surrounded by candles and other curious bits and pieces-old cycle parts I think!!! :D

:D

Everyone keeps guessing what I've been up to, made worse this time by my not giving clues.

But there's a clue in the new A to B magazine just out. :)
