Firstly I have never done it, sorry!
But for the price some of the companies take here, I could drive there and back fuel wise, in Germany......and I have then no worries about it getting damaged either.....
Find out what it costs and get it well insured!Let us know what you decide and why please.

Its the same everywhere, you contact the post office, any parcel services and inquire.

Yes, there are lots of courier companies and middle-men around. The big issue with ebikes is the battery, most couriers in the UK have strict rules about these. I'm surprised that things are different in Germany.
