Nobody will believe that they're hardly used. You might get a fiver each if somebody can collect them. Postage will be expensive.

I think somebody would take them off your hands for £30, but postage will cost you £15+.

I'd accept a fiver each for cash on collection, if only to avoid the hassle of having to mail them.

I am not posting them as too much. I have advertised them for £40 if anyone replies they will have to collect them. I will see how it goes if not drop price

Good luck. You can buy two delivered for £50, new with a warranty from a business seller.
wow wished i had of known that before i bought them, but never knew about this site then. I probably wont be getting much for these then. But at the end of the day, we all make mistakes as the hedgehog said to the wire brush :D:D:D

You could always put them on your rack/in your panniers on days when you want to go even further than your li ion battery will take you.

Of course you can, on you main wiring you fit M/F connectors to make a joint , fit female to the batt side and Male to controller side. On the SLA's you run them in series and fit a female connector, then at least you get to use them as range extenders save wasting your money.

I take it you mean Male/Female connectors

I wont have a clue how to do all that. it would also mean. having to place both batteries in pannier, plus all wiring etc. also how would I be able to switch over to old batteries anyway. from lithium one if it got low.

From time to time people come on the forum asking where to get those batteries. If you keep checking, maybe someone will want to buy them at a fair price.

Thanks d8veh I have also advertised them on a web site, just local, where buyer collects maybe I will get lucky. but not selling them too cheap as will use them myself for something. I am still waiting for new lithium battery to arrive, it was ordered on 9th Sept so shouldn't be too long now, I cant use bike yet as I have now removed all the wiring, ready for lithium one. I did have a neigbour ask of the batteries for radio ham work, so you never know he may buy them

I will go and just bang my head against the wall :(.
 Quite simply you disconnect the M/F connector to the Li-on/controller and then plug the SLA F connector in to the M controller connector, time taken about 5 seconds and any extra wiring would be quite minimal but as you say its not for you.
You spent the money unwisely and now have a bit of a small white hefalump on your hands just a suggestion to help you out and save you wasting your hard earned, however its your lolly easy come easy go.

If you lived near by to me I would offer to come and help out, maybe if you put in your location a knowledgeable forumite may help.
Best left alone unless you are able to solder and have an inkling of wiring and linking batteries.
In simple terms your controller/motor isn't bothered by the power source just not a good idea to mix the battery chemistries, If it was all wired correctly you would disconnect the li-on battery at the added connector (which goes to the controller) and then just plug in your SLA's in to the connector that goes to the controller instead.

What Neal is saying, is that if you duplicate the wiring and connectors on both batteries, you'll be able to simply swap one for the other.
Thanks Dan, I didn't put a simply a you have but thought #10 was quite simple enough.

Its ok and i do appreciate your help, but I dont go that far on bike, just short trips. occasionally a long trip depends on weather . plus didn't want to have 2 heavy batteries in panniers as use them for shopping etc. so would be in the way. anyway a friend maybe buying my batteries for his radio work. £40 for both so lost a bit of money. on them but hey £40 will be ok fingers crossed ;)
