It's a shame but here are the Dutch making the most ergonomic bikes in the world and they're heavy as ****,no good for our British hills (without a bpm). If anyone discovers a lightweight step through, let me know. I think it may not exist.
Frame integrity is a problem.

The absence of a crossbar means beefier tubes have to be used elsewhere.

Thus 'light weight' and 'step through' are mutually exclusive.

My Kudos City and Liberty e-bikes are still the style chosen by most Dutch riders despite the style remains unchanged for some years.
Maybe it's a compliment to us that we are pushing the type to suit our needs ,despite our small volumes.
My Kudos Sonata is a very high spec bike with hydraulic brakes and our BPM hi-torque motor, but maybe dearer than the OP wants to spend,it is very gutsy and step thru style.

Woosh Santana CD, Woosh Big Bear LS, or Kudos Liberty

Santana the only real option if you want chain drive otherwise it's a choice of the other two.

Find the nearest showroom for both makes and go try them, these bikes are too expensive to buy without testing first.
