My 5yo daughter is growing fast and will outgrow the trailer very soon. So far I have seen the weehoo trailer which goes up to 9yrs but is quite pricey, and a few seats such as the bobike junior. Anyone carry older kids? Getting her on her own bike isn't really much use as we do some pretty long commutes

We had the same issue with our son, I couldn't find a seat I was happy with, ended up going the cargo trike route. This was definitely not the cheap route, but we do more miles by bike now for shopping, trips to tip etc... though it is massive relative to a bike and trailer.

Tandem? Not sure if there are any commercial e-tandems, but you could convert one.
