Hello
I am trying quite hard to find this item, but, so far, to no avail. It is a 41 Tooth, 5 support wheel with a 27 splined mounting on the crank. 50 Cycles have said they are no longer Kalkhoff dealers - I bought it from them in 2009. Other Kalkhoff dealers say they cannot help. I am contacting Panasonic in Germany, so we will see...
Apart from that, the bike has done very well. It has done just short of 21000 miles, including a Lands End to John O'Groats, with camping involved. I have used 2 lots of transmission gear so far and this will be the third lot, if I can find the chainwheel!
Maybe you have some ideas.

Panasonic Germany should come up with one for you.

Panasonic, Netherlands still had them until recently for the previous series one Panasonic units that the Giant Lafree used, and they were discontinued back in 2006.

Hello again,
I am hoping that I have now obtained the part. It is being sent from Germany. It is 38 tooth but, more importantly, it looks like the splines are right. A friend with whom I cycle a lot came up with it.
I will let you know how I get on...
Peter
