Thinking of getting a set of these for commuting on my Cube Reaction Race with 29" wheels, but most sellers advertise them as 28" tyres.
Are they one and the same? Or do they actually do them in a 29" size as well?

Thanks.
I was originally wanting the Big Bens but can only find them in 29 x 2.0 whereas the Apples go up to 29 x 2.35 which I assume adds a little more comfort?

A very good choice with a good speed advantage over mtb tyre as a bonus make sure you get the plus version
Struggling to find the Plus version in 29er size.

Up to now I've only found
Big Apple 29 x 2.35 @ £24.75
Big Ben 29 x 2.0 @ £17

Thanks, I think I now just need to decide between Big Apple Plus and Big Ben Plus.
The Bens seem very similar other than having a thicker tread, and are £10 dearer.

2.0 is real skinny width wise and given the extra waight you can wipe out the front wheel going round corners real easy.

i tried a 2.30 as all i could get and crashed twice loosing the front end so 2.35 is all that i will fit now.

So would the 2.0 size be too narrow for my Cube Reaction Race? Would the 2.35 be better?
Well, as in most things bicycle related, much is personal preference and what's one mans meat is another mans poison!
However I have used 2.35 Big apples on my own Cube and they work and look great. I also currently have 2.0" ones on a hybrid bike of mine (that used to have 2.3 tyres) and while the 2" Apples work ok, I didn't think the slightly smaller size on paper would translate into such a puny looking tyre! I would have thought it might look a bit silly on a larger framed mountain bike.
I wouldn't risk it. Stick the big ones on if they fit (and they should on your bike)

I'd always go for bigger tyres if I can. The only caveat is that apart from frame clearance, you can run into squirm issues if your rims are a bit too narrow and the profile of the tyre type needs the wider rim to work properly. I'm not 100% sure on this though, but I have a feeling Big Apples are designated as a 'balloon tyre' and they seem to have a design that allows them to work ok on thinner rims.
hence 2.35" Apples seem to work ok on 19mm internal width rims, but I've run into issues with 2.35 G-One speeds on the same width rim (hence the reason I've dropped down to try the 2" Apples on my hybrid)

The Big Apple in the Plus version isn’t easy to find in 29 x 2.35 size.

Fawkes have the standard Big Apples available which I might have to opt for instead.

I ended up having to order mine from one of the big German On line shops. They seem to have a much bigger choice of Schwalbe tyres than a lot of UK shops.
I don't recall the postage being stupidly expensive either. Just a few extra days delivery.

I’ve got apples in both 2.1 & 2.35, the larger on my e-cube (ALP) in plus variety and the smaller on my analog cruiser, non plus because they are noticeably lighter when you haven’t got a motor ;)
Apples are my go to tyres for road and light dry trails.
I have Smart Sam plus for E-MTB off road and Smart Sam DD race-guard for unpowered MTB (lighter) both Sams are noticeably faster on road than other MTB tyres I’ve owned and haven’t Disappointed off-road

Looks like its going to have to be the standard Apples in 29 x 2.35 as I just can't find the Plus version anywhere.

Big Apples for my 29er arrived from Fawkes today. As mentioned above, they are 28 x 2.35. Surprised how little tread there is, I'm guessing they are hard wwearing? I know they do the Big Bens with more tread, shame I couldn't find any in the 2.35 size.

Hope to be fitting them tonight.
