On my display, P06, which should be wheel diameter, is a range between 0 and 7 with no decimal places, which obviously isn't right - any ideas?

Probably a special firmware version. Where did you get it from?

Go through all the parameters to see which one has logical values.

They all do, they all look correct apart from P06!

Try different values and see if they change the speed or its display. Use your phone's GPS to get your actual speed to check it.
