I want to run 2 or maybe even 3 cree lights and find the cheap batteries you get with them cutout really quick with a couple lights connected so am carrying 3 batteries for now.
I have a spare 2s LiPo battery so cut the discharge wire off an old rubbish chinese li-ion battery and soldered on a matching plug.

My concern is the the wires soldered into the plug being a bit thin.
What would be the max watts those small wires can take before they would melt or best way to test?
I could set a watt meter up to check each lights power use first to add up maybe.
Before I connect up, can anyone see a problem with 2 or 3 cree lights through those this wires?

Cree lights are about 1A each, so those wires will be OK.

i blew/ melted my switch cable @ 6-7a so 3-5 lights will be no problem if there 1a each.

Thanks, both answers good to know, I will connect together and try out over the weekend.
Also it's good to know about sw's switch as I bought one and was going to bin it when yours give up, so may be able to use it after all.
I am guessing I should get with 2 lights@1a about - 3 hrs
and 3 lights@1a about 2hrs
but this battery has a weak cell, hence why it was left unused so will test over the weekend.

Just had an idea from another thread,
Could I plug this 8.4v 1a cree battery mains charger measuring 8.35v directly onto that 2s lipo battery discharge plug to charge it if I keep an eye on the balance of each cell? or will the battery blow the plug up?
