Running 48v parallel with 52v???

when I contracted the ebike illness the first symptoms more power more speed the even more power and more speed bash the credit card now after treatment it normal speed and enjoy the ride
The bonus is when you down size on motor power the battery will last longer much much longer

Exactly, I want my batterys to last as long as possible...am going thru ebike power syndrome treatment myself...I hope to hav kicked the habit by Xmas...one day I might see a bloke or lady riding a 1000w motor and be like "I was like that once" haha

Even with the Yose hub and 17 or 20a controller pulling 650+ w in pas 5 will drain a battery quite rapidly.
My PF 36v 14.5a battery will get me 46+ miles only had it down to 36.8v but that is using pas 1 or 2 with very occasional boost of 3,4 or 5 for inclines and some pas 0 riding. For day out touring/riding, range is about battery management and sensible pas usage.
In benign conditions or with a wind at you back ride unassisted and save wh for inclines and head winds.

Always going to feel crap having been spoilt by going large in the first place, the comparison will be totally unfair and biased.

1500w hub at pas 2 will be fairly inefficient as amp output is reduced and any potential is lost, depending on terrain. The D/D's usually excel at high speed and high power output.

350w motor is lighter (half the weight) so less rolling weight. Advantage of 350w Yose is it pedals without power if needed, try that with the D/D hub.

350W will always be more frugal, even in benign conditions it will get to 19- 21mph in pas 1 (60w).

100% agree with Nealh - I also started with a 1000W DD and now run a 350W geared hub, it also feels more like a bike to ride, gets me 60 miles on a 10Ah battery and assists up to about 22mph

Just got off the phone from egg bikes...he said he can build me a wheel with 500w motor and controller that will connect to what he called an eggrider.... apparently I can set what wattage, ampage ECT I want my bike to run at! Sounds cool...

Yup, ain’t no controller substitute for using your brain !

I have managed 50 , mostly off road, miles from my 11.6 ah battery on a bbs02

Equally I’ve spanked every last ah on a flat road in 10 miles! (I was really trying mind

It is quite new and untested but some ppl from pedelecs have said good things about it and the support they give, I like the sound of it as if I fancy some power I could quickly set it at 700/800w or if I want to increase my range I could set it down at 250/350w...looks like u can customise it in nearly everyday...

Stupid me....it's geared....code 9 model....hoping with my batteries to be able to cruise at 20mph as not interested at going much more than that...

It should be very good as it's a Bafang hub a tried and tested formula, Code 9 is about 280rpm and should easily do over 20mph.

Yes ordering the eggrider this evening but holding back on 500w motor untill more funds available to me....hoping for now the eggrider will help me control my power usage....this morning I done 19miles fully charged 52v battery and voltage 53.5v on my fluke meter...I'm thinking that's not bad!...
