Roux Big Slick Stopped Working

My Roux Big Slick EBike had a wire which connected from the bike to the brake that snapped off two weeks ago.
Upon inspection online, I bought a replacement Bafang EBikte Cut off lever in hopes that closing the circuit would make my bike work again.
Unfortunately this is not the case and I was wondering whether anyone thinks it may be a good idea to purchase another cut off lever in hopes that the lever I purchased first was just a faulty one?
The Battery still lights up, and I have opened and closed each pin again. Whenever I hold the power on button, it just doesnt turn on even though the circuits are closed and the battery is on.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Sorry Im not sure what you mean, which switch should be disconnected? Ive tried turning it on in various ways but no luck yet!

The brake switch is in the lever somewhere. Without a photo, I can't say any more than that. An electric cable comes out from it and finds it's way to the motor controller. The cable can have two or three wires in it depending on the type of switch. Whichever type you have, if you were to cut the wire, the motor would be allowed to work as long as it was a clean cut so the wires couldn't touch. Follow the electric cable from the brake to the controller, and you should come to a connector. If you disconnect it, the brake switch can't switch off the motor.

With both brake switches disconnected, they can't switch off the motor, so if the motor doesn't work, the cause is elsewhere.

I really appreciate the reply! Unfortunately having trouble locating where I could disconnect the wires due to the wiring going into the bike! Ffs

They're the brake connectors in your hand. The brakes are already disconnected. There's nothing else to disconnect. Where was the cable damaged?

The cable was damaged from the lever. Ive attached two images in order to give a better understanding. The old lever is stull attached on the bike for now.


I tried to purchase an identical looking lever from EBay (however the cables still do look a bit different on the levers, but they connect)

Inside the wiring of the old lever, there were three wires in the cable, coloured: black, red and blue).

If the connectors don't match, cut them off and solder the wires together. As I said, your bike should work with them disconnected. If it's not working, you have to find the cause.

Appreciate the help mate, Im so unsure what to do now ffs. Part of me just wants to throw this bloody bike off the wall
