I can't find any information about servicing the GSM kit, such as what needs doing, and how often. I'm assuming that day to day cleaning, checking tightness of fixings and connectors supplemented by occasional regreasing is about all that can be done. I'm also assuming that the regreasing can be done by removing the left side of the motor housing, but I haven't a clue what sort of grease to use. Is a general purpose lithium-based grease OK, or should I be using something more specialised?

Comments, anyone?

the gearbox of the GSM is similar to those in the 8-Fun BBS01 and BBS02, so I assume that the same grease can go on both.
The subject was discussed here earlier:

Basically, the nylon gear needs special grease, the steel gears and ball bearings can be lubed with more or less any Lithium moly grease.
There are lots of discussion about which grease is best for the nylon gear. I think the plastic gear in the BBS01 and the GSM is made of PTFE or possibly polyamide, so any high temperature silicone or synthetic grease should be OK.
