Useless on something you can lift up and carry away. A frame lock is more convenient and lets you run a cable through street furniture.

Do you have quick release hubs?

Insurance requires gold sold secure lock to an immoveable object.
Think its more of a motor bike lock which would require a van and two people to lift rather than lift a wheel and walk off.

The problem with rotor locks, as we found out on motorbikes, is that you forget that they're there when you try and ride away. On the motorbike ones, they added a cord, which wrapped around the throttle to remind you. I'm not sure that would work on a bicycle.

So only for the anally retentive then.
No, the fluorescent cable reminder works when looped onto the handlebar grip. I use my motorcycle lock and reminder on my Ebike. It is impossible to cut the lock with bolt croppers and looks impossible to get an angle grinder blade into the locking pin. With the forks and wheel locked onto something solid it's not going to be a two minute job to steal. As you can tell, I'm quite anal.

I've been waiting on mine to arrive for a while now. I probably won't bother using it very often, but for the price it's worth having around. The vibrations sensing, alarmed ones might be more worth it.

Secondary measures for me would be extra types of locks and a vibration alarm so I can hear when someone's trying to have a go.

Mine is a vibration sensing one but it wasn't on the bike when it was stolen a few weeks ago. However I did have an alarm combined with a rear light under the saddle. Took the thief 30 seconds to snip the chain and ride off with the alarm sounding.
