Someone's going to get hurt.

It's one thing selling high powered kits and letting the user take their own chances, but this encourages the non savvy to take risks without realising what those risks are.

Amazing, I've had less than 7 years of electric bike experience that the seller quotes, and I've managed to build two bikes that are far more robust and safer to ride than his contraptions. Both came under 1500 quid too.

Ok, they're not capable of 50mph, but at least I know my limits!

Generally, one largeer motor is better han two smaller ones. If you use two large motors, the torque from the back one lifts the weight off the front one, which then skips and spins during acceleration. Also, a big motor in the front wheel stops the suspension from working properly. Golden Motor make a 2WD bike with two 750w motors that goes pretty well on the road, though it's very heavy. I've made a few 2WD bikes and found that it works OK with two small motors, especially for off-road riding, where the extra traction is very useful.
